Unbundling Offers Opportunity to Save More Than 40 Percent By Choosing Single Product Rather Than Full Suite
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (August 14, 2012) – Bundled products often require businesses to buy more than they need, in order to get at the one or two applications they really want. Mindful of that desire to keep costs down while delivering valued technology, Infinitely Virtual, a leading provider of virtual server cloud computing services for businesses, today announced it is unbundling its hosted, licensed Microsoft Office suite products to enable customers to choose those products they need, at a per product price.
According to Adam Stern, founder and CEO, Infinitely Virtual, “many businesses would like to gain access to our hosted Microsoft Excel application but don’t necessarily want to pay for a full Microsoft Office Suite license – a situation that is especially common among customers using our hosted QuickBooks application.”
Customers can now choose from Microsoft Excel, Access, Publisher or Outlook as “menu” items, creating a package that precisely fits their needs, Stern said. Infinitely Virtual will continue to offer Microsoft Office Standard and Microsoft Office Professional as full suites for its clients who want the full complement of applications.
“We’re responding to our customers, who often just need a specific application,” he said. “In this way, they’re receiving, and paying for, exactly what they want.” Pricing has been set for the one-off purchase of Excel and Access; Outlook and Publisher have varying rates. The new a la carte pricing structure is available with these Infinitely Virtual services. Customers can click on the “Options” tab or “Customize” on each product page, and see the pricing for the full Microsoft suites available and for the standalone products:
o InfiniteApp Personal, Business and Dedicated
o InfiniteApp Quickbooks Business and Dedicated
o Quickbooks Terminal Server and Quickbooks Terminal Server – Premium
o Quickbooks Virtual Office Network
o Virtual Terminal Server – Standard
o Virtual Terminal Server – Premium
o Virtual Office Network – Standard
o InfiniteApp Virtual Office Network
o Accounting Terminal Server
The pricing move is the second for the company in as many months. In July, Infinitely Virtual announced new pricing that enables customers to get the full benefits of premium McAfee anti-spam protection for 30 percent less. At the same time, the company announced a similar 30 percent price reduction on email archiving options.
